Who do I contact if I have an issue with a pet –lost, or neglected or found?
You would contact our By-Law Department at 780-632-2606.
If you are calling after hours between 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., contact Public Works at 780-632-3439.
What happens to an animal if they are put into the Animal Shelter?
We will try to find the owner through tags.
Contact the vet if there is an ID tattoo.
Keep the animals for one week in the shelter, while we try to find a home including advertising in the local paper.
My street has not been cleared of snow yet?
Follow this link to find the snow removal priority list posted on this web site under Public Works. These areas take precedence over the other roads.
My sewer system has backed up into my house. Who do I contact?
You need to contact a plumber first to determine where the issue is.
I have a concern with: a street sign, road or garbage issue .

What are the times and speeds in a school zone?
8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on all school days.
The speed limit is 30km/hour.
What are the times and speeds in a playground zone?
Speed is in effect from 8:30 a.m. to one hour after sunset.
The speed is 30km/hour during this time.
I own a business in town and would like to know about garbage bins.

When will my garbage be picked up?
There is no set date for garbage bin pickup in the back alleys.
Residential garbage is picked up once a week.
If you have a roll out bin you must make sure when you put it out that the handles are facing the street.
Contact Public Works Department for roll out pick up dates.
What can we put in the recycle containers?
Shredded paper, newspapers, office paper,
Wrapping paper and magazines
Flattened cardboard
Milk Cartons, plastic containers #1-7
What is accepted at the Landfill? The following lists items that have designated areas. *NOTE always see the attendant prior to unloading.*
E-Waste drop off: computers, servers, monitors, laptops, printers, televisions, keyboards, computer speakers, mouse.
Paint drop off: Paint, varnish, and stains in 100 ml - 24 liter containers, aerosol containers & empty paint containers are also acceptable.
Tire Recycling: all rubber tires from bikes to lawn mowers, cars and truck tires. We also accept tractor tires.

Composting Area: materials such as grass and plant clippings, weeds, straw and leaves. Finished product used on site.
Construction & Demolition Materials: concrete, building materials & such
Waste for the Burn Pit: straw and stubble, grass and weeds, leaves and tree clippings, brush, wooden material that does not contain preservatives.
Asphalt and Concrete Rubble: disposed of in a segregated area. This is periodically crushed and recycled for road base.
Automotive Batteries: only in the designated area.
