Community Tech Connect

ENSURING THE BASIC NEEDS FOR TECHNOLOGY ARE MET DURING A PANDEMIC

This program is made possible in partnership with Vegreville & District Family & Community Support Services (FCSS), Mental Health Capacity Building Project (MHCB), WJS Canada, BGS Enterprises Inc., Brain Injury Network North East Region, VM Systems, and Family Resource Network (FRN).

Technology has become an unexpected challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Digital connectivity has proven to be an important resource to survive a pandemic. People require computers to work from home, have access to accurate information available on government websites, apply for government subsidies and supports, complete job applications, make resumes, participate in a video interview, attend online schooling or programming, and to keep connected with family and friends. But what happens when someone doesn’t have the technology and can’t afford to buy something? This is where Community Tech Connect can help!

Together Let’s Make Technology Accessible

To qualify for Community Tech Connect you need to live in Vegreville or the County of Minburn and live within the low-income cut off (LICO). This program provides a household with one tablet, laptop, or desktop computer permanently.
