The health, safety and well-being of our residents, staff and visitors remains the top priority for the Town of Vegreville as the COVID-19 pandemic continues adversely affect the health and prosperity Albertans.

The Town continues to align our activities and services with Alberta Public Health's directions for addressing COVID-19, which includes taking all necessary preventative measures to limit the spread of infection in our community.

Essential Services

Public administration and government are considered an essential service by the Government of Alberta. While many of the public-facing components of the Town's business community have been suspended or directed online, the Town continues to deliver critical services to residents. The Town also remains resourced and prepared to respond to seasonal events, such as spring flooding, and the Town continues to action contingency planning and response to COVID-19.

The list of essential workplaces that can continue to operate in Alberta can be found on the Government of Alberta's essential services web page.

Enforcement

To report observed breaches or suspected violations of Alberta’s public health orders, including public gatherings or non-essential businesses that continue to operate, residents must use the compliant filing tool available through Environmental Public Health. Vegreville RCMP and Enforcement Services will only respond if requested by Alberta Health Services (AHS).

Alberta’s public health orders and the complaint filing tool can be found on AHS’s web page.
