Town monitoring Vermilion River water level

Spring melt has been causing the Vermilion River to rise.

The Town's Emergency Service's department is monitoring the situation closely, and there is currently no risk to residents. However, the public is urged to stay away from the banks of the Vermilion River as water levels can quickly change as the weather warms further.

We would also like to remind residents who are enjoying the trails around the Vermilion River that you must practice social distancing while doing so; keeping a minimum of two-metres distance between yourself and others at all times.
